The Sweet Treat Boutique!

I think one of my favorite things about "growing up" ---or just 'getting older'--- is seeing what everyone is up to now.  It's pretty cool to see where people I grew up with are now and what they're doing with their lives.  I still think it's so strange that my friends & I are all at the age where people are getting married, having kids, etc., I mean, I graduated college five days ago and that still seems so surreal!

My sister and I have known one of our friends, Lacey, basically our entire lives! Our parents knew each other in high school, so we've been around each other a lot--birthday parties, dinner nights, being babysat together (we have several funny stories from those days! :) )  I remember when Lacey got married a few years ago, she was the first of my childhood friends to get married and it was very exciting!!  Since then, she has done so many awesome things in her life, one of them being, The Sweet Treat Boutique!  Lacey carefully handcrafts these adorable keychains, charms, & pendants to look like, well, SWEET TREATS!  It amazes me how much her creations look like the actual food item!

To My Best Friend :

Well Matt. You can officially say it: You have been with (put up with) me for a QUARTER of your LIFE! haha! Do you feel old yet?? Even if I've been annoying, stressed out, energetic, lazy, tired, confused, happy, sad or anything, you've always been there for me. You know me better than I know myself.  And even if we are turning into (oh wait, we've already turned into) that "old couple," I can't think of single other person I'd rather spend my time with!  I'm glad we've been some of the few people who've been able to handle the long-distance relationship for some time, and guess what? We only have a couple more months of that! These past 5 years together have been wonderful, and now I'm lucky enough to spend the rest of my life with you! You are my everything, and you know that ;)

Enjoy a few (okay, a little more than 'a few') pictures of us over the past 5 years! [and Matt, you know I like pictures and you know how many we have of us, so you know it was a challenge for me to narrow it down to these!

every mile a memory.

Yep, be prepared for plenty "bittersweet" posts coming up shortly.

Even though I finished with exams last Wednesday, I've still been here!  I won't get to head home until May 13th--the DAY AFTER GRADUATION!!!  [still can't believe it!]

I've been [slowly] packing up my Longwood life to take it all back home.  ...for the last time.  So strange.  As I've been going through stuff, I've found numerous momentos from the past 4 years that bring back great memories.  It's crazy looking back and everything I've done....it's so much!!

I took pictures of a few...here they are!

"I can hear the bells.."

{yes, you know you like my reference to Hairspray in the post title ;) }
Growing up, girls dream about it.  It's a known fact.  They dream about the dress they'll wear, what the color scheme will be, who their celebrity husband will be, and then they wait it out to see if their big day turns out how they dreamt it up to be.

It was so weird when I first got to Longwood and started meeting people to find out that so many were engaged. I was like, "woah, woah, woah. I just graduated high school, and you're already engaged?!" haha. Then as the years went on, more and more people I was in organizations with were getting engaged, as well as some people I knew from back home, and it seemed so weird that we were all at that point in our lives.
