Nail Polish!

Everyone collects something right? I seem to collect a lot of things.....old/cool coins, pressed pennies from different travels, and apparently nail polish!  I don't care who you are, you can't have too much nail polish! However, you CAN have too many shades of pink (in my opinion).  I didn't even realize I had so many pink nail polish bottles until recently.
One night last week, I decided to go through all my nailpolish.  Now, lemme tell you, I'm pretty sure this is something I've NEVER done before. haha! Needless to say, I found some pretty amusing things.

Pin It Friday!!

Say whaaaaaaaaat? Pin It Friday? YEAH! I haven't done one of these blog posts in soooo long, and I'm excited to share 5 new pins with you this week!!!

from my mind = blown board:
I remember the exact moment when I realized this!! Abby and I were spending the night at Ganny & Papa's house, and Ganny was in the living room with us watching TV.  All of sudden, I sat up on the sofa and said, "THAT'S A 'D'!" Ganny said, "well, yes it is." Then I said, "I always thought it was just some weird thing that Walt Disney liked to write, or some symbol that was supposed to represent something. But NOW, I see that it's a 'D'!!" haha
from my things I want board:
The words on these shirts only show up when you've sweat enough for the text to come through! I so want!!!
from my food & drink board:
This soup is soooo good!  While I've never actually ordered my own serving of it, I almost managed to take a bite out of Matt's ;)
from my the most wonderful time of the year board:
I want need this to add to my Christmas shirt collection!
 finally, from my quotes board:

A look at the past three and a half weeks.....

...via iPhone pics!  I'm forever grateful that I have a phone with a good camera! Whether or not the pictures that come from it are good, well, I'll let you be the judge of that.  Sometimes, I'm doing everything I can to make sure I'm getting a good picture and other times, something's happening so fast that I'm just trying to get a quick picture so I can laugh about later!  Although, it is kind of bad that I've been relying on my phone so much lately, because that means I don't have my camera on me as often. In fact, last weekend when I was at Longwood, I completely FORGOT my camera, and so many things were happening where I needed it!! I was so mad at myself!!

Anyway, just wanted to share some pictures that I've taken at moments when I was so happy I had a good camera phone!

Workout Wednesday : Week 2

Thank you to everyone who gave me feedback about last week's video! :) Is it awkward slash weird seeing and hearing myself on a video? Yes, absolutely.  But, the funniest and most awkward moment after posting last week's blog : I was doing some things in my room and didn't have the TV on or anything like I usually do.  I started hearing noises and then I realized, "oh dang, that's ME!" haha. Mom was in her room watching the video and it was so weird hearing myself in the other room....yeah....not a fan.lol.

Workout Wednesday : Week 1

This could be a total hit or miss for me, haha.  I've been trying and trying to come up with something that I could blog about once a week--a series, if you will.  No, this doesn't mean that the other days of the week will be ignored...I will definitely continue to blog when I can! I just wanted something for those who read my blog to look forward to and expect to see each week!  Then came the topic: WHAT THE HECK AM I GOING TO BLOG ABOUT?! Well, it won't entirely be a blog post, if you will. What's different about it? There will be VIDEOS. Which could be a good or a bad thing. Good: Hopefully informative. Bad: It's so awkward to see myself on video...haha!

JFK

For no real reason, I picked up a book yesterday that I normally wouldn't choose for "leisurely reading."  I knew ahead of time that it was going to be a quick read because it had less than a hundred pages in it, but I was still interested to see if it was a book I could actually get into.  The book?: John F. Kennedy.  Yes, I randomly picked up a biography on the 35th President of the United States. I'm still not sure why THAT was the book I chose from an entire library full of books.  As much as this screams *nerd status* I am now excited about the things that I learned.  I was NEV-ER good in history classes.  I was always bored out of my mind and could never understand anything.  It didn't matter what part of history it was or what grade I was in, I DREADED getting back history tests and seeing how badly I did on them. So, some of things I just learned yesterday, many of you may or may not already know....depending on whether or not you were paying attention in history class that day ;)

Yes, this post IS about Mary-Kate & Ashley

So I have no idea why I wanted to do this post. Probably because of my movie selection the other day while I was cleaning my closet/room.
Growing up, I was OBSESSED with Mary-Kate and Ashley.  I think between my sister and I, we have every single MK&A movie! We have many of the "You're Invited to Mary-Kate & Ashley's {insert fun party type here} Party" videos, but not all of them, and we also have some of the "The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley" videos!  You know...."Olsen and Olsen Mystery Agency.....We'll solve any crime, by dinner time!" haha. And how in every video, they'd manage to drive across the globe in a matter of 15 minutes? Yeah, I still haven't figured that one out!  Abby and I even tried to pretend we were Mary-Kate and Ashley.......since we have the same first initials as them, we thought it was a great idea.  Plus, when we were younger, so many people thought we were twins because we looked so much alike.  I never saw it then, and I definitely don't see it now! haha. I don't think we look a thing alike!

A Pinterest Win!

Ironically, my last post was about 3 recent Pinterest FAILS. Today, I wanted to show a Pinterest SUCCESS! Yay! I had originally seen this pin on the right and thought the jars looked really cool! However, after my recent attempts at Pinterest projects, I had very little hope that this would work.  Mom had a few mason jars that she gave me, we had food coloring, I just needed to go out and buy Modge Podge.  Which, THANKFULLY, Michaels had 50% off coupons for the recent holiday, so I was able to get it for only about $4.  I mixed together the Modge Podge and food coloring, just as the instructions said, and painted the inside of the jars.  I was almost content with the way the jars looked just painted like that! I wish I took a picture of them then, but because of the "paint", you couldn't see through the jars, and the color was a paler shade of the final product.  I followed the rest of the steps, put them in the oven, and when I took them out, they were still the pale, you-can't-see-through-it color.  But, as I said earlier, I was fine with the way they looked.  The Modge Podge mixture was still pretty tacky, though, when they came out of the over, and even a couple hours later, so I just let them sit out over night.  The next morning, Mom called me downstairs and said, "Mallory--come look at your jars!"  Because of my luck, I was expecting the paint to have just completely slid right out of the jar and they wouldn't be colored at all. Instead, as soon as I saw my jars, I threw my hands up in the air and said, "THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE ACTUALLY SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE!!" haha. I was excited, and they turned around really neat!!
