Our Christmas Trees!

I know it's been a long time of waiting for these pictures, but I've finally uploaded pictures of our Christmas trees!! It was a depressing day in the Nolte house when the trees finally all came down. (And, to clarify, it was just this past weekend!)

I just really enjoyed the evenings when we'd really only have the tree as our light when we'd watch TV or something, and
it filled the room! It was so pretty :)  But, not to worry, in ten months, we (and by "we" I mean Matt) will be pulling all of the trees down from the garage so we (here, "we" = me!) can get them decorated for the next Christmas season!! I can hardly wait! haha. Actually, as much as I love Christmas, I can wait, because I'd hate to rush through the year and miss summer & everything!!

On a different note, all of this snow makes me even more reminiscent of Christmas! I always love the rare occasions when we actually have a White Christmas!

Enjoy this snow day!! I know I am!!

Our Christmas decorations!

So WHAT if it is now a month after Christmas....I'm going to share pictures of our Christmas decorations if it's the last thing I do!  Even with all of the days off this week, I feel like I just haven't stopped doing something....even if I was just cleaning up around the house! So, I'm finally getting around to not only putting the pictures ON my camera, but taking the time to upload them here, as well.

And don't you think for one second this is my last Christmas post!
You know you want to see all of our trees!!!
That'll come within the next couple of days!!

Bevell's Hardware Train Display

A couple of week's ago, I went with Mom, Abby, Papa and Joyce to Bevell's Hardware Store in Blackstone.  The owner sets up this HUGE train display that is just so amazing to look at!  We walked around two or three times, and I'm SURE we still missed seeing some details!  I loved the circus/carnival/theme park area he had set up, but my absolute FAVORITE part was the Disneyworld display!!!! It was so awesome!!  And, those two roller coasters you see set up, they actually went around! So neat! We figured one was the Rebel Yell from Kings Dominion, and the other was Alpengeist from Busch Gardens.

I hope these pictures will show you that it's definitely worth the hour and a half drive {from Richmond} to go and see the set up, but you really have to go see it for yourself!!  I was SO upset that I forgot my camera at home, but will for sure be going back, especially so Matt can see, and I will be sure to remember my camera then!

Christmas at The Jefferson

I can't even put into words how much I LOVE going to The Jefferson Hotel to see their decorations every Christmas! Yes, for the most part, they have the same decorations year after year, but I just love going anyway, to look at everything and take it all in!

As we walked around and I took pictures, Matt continuously said, "You took a picture of that last year..."  Yessss, but that was last year, I see it differently this year! haha. That's my story and I'm sticking to it ;)

And you better believe I'll be back again next Christmas to see it all once again!

Even though Christmas is two and a half weeks behind us, and {most} of our Christmas decorations are put away, these pictures still put me in the Christmas spirit! Hope you enjoy!

Love List

I've been adding to this list all week, and while it may not be very long, here are some great things I'm loving this week!!

Saving Mr. Banks--if you have not seen this movie yet, you need to! It's so so great {and made me want to go to Disneyworld some kinda bad!!!}! We went a couple of weeks ago, and it was so neat to see how a movie we all love came together!

Has anyone else bought or listened to the Robertson Family Christmas CD? My gosh, it's a great CD! A good mix of songs and readings, and I promise the songs will get stuck in your head! I can't tell you how much I go around saying {in my head or out loud...} "...Wishing you a hairy Christmas and a Happy Happy Happy New Year." Also, I can't forget to mention how much I love to listen to Jase and his wife sing Baby, It's Cold Outside.  Honestly, if you laugh at the show, you'll enjoy the CD, that's for sure!

Speaking of Duck Dynasty, one of my Christmas gifts from Matt's parents was Miss Kay's Duck Commander Cookbook. I tried my first

Our 1st Married Christmas

Two questions I was asked over and over were: "Are you ready for your first married Christmas?!" and "How was your first married Christmas?"  Well, of course it was great!

I was way more excited on Christmas morning than Matt was! haha. I woke up originally at 6:00, but knew there was no way in heck I was getting up that early. Finally, at 6:30, I got up because I knew I still needed to fill Matt's stocking {he did mine on Christmas Eve}. After doing that, I went back in the room and told Matt to get up. He took one look at the clock and looked back at me with the most serious expression, "no....come back at 7:00."  I tried laying back in bed making the time past, but the clocked moved so slow, so I went into the den to watch TV. You better believe that at exactly 7:00 I was standing over Matt in the bedroom saying "wake up!!!! It's Christmas!!!!" He looked at the clock, back at me again, and just saying, "Go make me coffee." haha, Good Morning to you, too! lol

2014 To-Do List

Happy 2014!!

Hope you've all had a great start to the new year! Matt and I already unofficially started a new tradition that we joked about yesterday: only eat Mexican food on January 1st! Coincidentally and unintentionally, that's what we did yesterday, and I'm okay with that! We'll see this time next year if we really do make it a tradition! haha

In all honesty, who actually keeps the New Year's Resolutions that they make? I know I never do. This year, instead of making resolutions, I kind of just wanted to make a To-Do List for the year of things I'd like to do. I guess you could say it's still kind of like making resolutions, but I love to-do lists way more than resolutions. haha. Maybe it's because I enjoy crossing things off a to-do list way too much!  Here's my 2014 To-Do List that I've come up with so far, and I hope to add more to it as the year goes on! Nothing wrong with that, right??

#1. Blog more reastically. When I wasn't working, it was easy for me to blog 5 days a week, every week. Even better, rarely did I run out of things to blog about! I tried to stick with that when I first started subbing, but once Elko Middle School really welcomed me into their home, and I was there every single day {it was the BEST!}, I just
