{yes, you know you like my reference to Hairspray in the post title ;) }
Growing up, girls dream about it. It's a known fact. They dream about the dress they'll wear, what the color scheme will be, who their celebrity husband will be, and then they wait it out to see if their big day turns out how they dreamt it up to be.
It was so weird when I first got to Longwood and started meeting people to find out that so many were engaged. I was like, "woah, woah, woah. I just graduated high school, and you're already engaged?!" haha. Then as the years went on, more and more people I was in organizations with were getting engaged, as well as some people I knew from back home, and it seemed so weird that we were all at that point in our lives.
As excited I am to be engaged and anxiously waiting until after graduation so we can get more wedding planning done, I'm also really happy for my friends who have gotten engaged, too! It's such an exciting time.
This past weekend, Abby and I drove home for the day to go to our childhood friend, Catherine/Catt's bridal shower. We had a blast and I also saw a couple friends from high school that I hadn't seen since (one of whom is recently engaged, too!).
I'm so excited for Catt & her wedding that's quickly approaching, and wanna know something funny? Her wedding is 364 days before mine, and is the same day as my freshman roommate, Colleen's wedding, too! I think we all picked a great weekend to say, "I do." :)
Here are some pictures from the shower on Saturday. Enjoy!
