This could be a total hit or miss for me, haha. I've been trying and trying to come up with something that I could blog about once a week--a series, if you will. No, this doesn't mean that the other days of the week will be ignored...I will definitely continue to blog when I can! I just wanted something for those who read my blog to look forward to and expect to see each week! Then came the topic: WHAT THE HECK AM I GOING TO BLOG ABOUT?! Well, it won't entirely be a blog post, if you will. What's different about it? There will be VIDEOS. Which could be a good or a bad thing. Good: Hopefully informative. Bad: It's so awkward to see myself on video...haha!
Anyway, I thought it would be appropriate to start putting my degree to work. Kinda. My degree is in Exercise Science so yes, I enjoy going to the gym. I enjoy working out. I enjoy DOMS (yay for ExSci terms...more on that later! But Google it now, if you want!). And even though I do my own cardio and weight workouts and such at the gym, sometimes I need a structured routine on paper in front of me while I'm there. For instance, I'm in the middle of a 5K training program. Have a done a 5K before? Yes, I've done several. Did I train for them? Yes. But I never trained well. So I found this 9 week program, and I'm in the middle of Week 3. It's three days a week, and it progressively gets you running more. Even though I'm in the third week, it's crazy how I'm already noticing a difference! And you know how I said "on paper"? Yes, I do have a large sticky note stuck on my treadmill while I'm running, haha!
So, back to these weekly blog posts. I've decided to go with the not-so-clever-title of Workout Wednesday! Each Wednesday, I'll post a video of me sharing some of my favorite exercises with you and even some that I've come up with on my own! Maybe it'll help you if you're stuck doing the same things over and over while you're working out, or maybe you need some motivation TO go workout! So, here's the first WORKOUT WEDNESDAY video!! Please let me kow what you think, so I can determine if this whole idea is going to be a hit or miss!
And don't forget..if you have any types of exercises you might like to see, let me know that too! :)
