BCM, Baptist Collegiate Ministries, is one of the HUGE reasons why I love Longwood! Every Thursday night we have Connections, which consists of a home cooked meal from a local church, games, Praise and Worship, and then we'll have a speaker or we might go out and do small ministries on campus. No matter what we do, I can honestly say I've found a "home away from home" at BCM and I love everyone there so much!!
Tonight, after Connections, we had a Christmas party :) We sang Christmas Carols, made Gingerbread houses and played fun games! We even had a surprise visit from a Hampden Sydney a cappella group and they came and sang a few songs for us! I'll have to play around with this and see if I can get a video uploaded...
I love making gingerbread houses so much! Either my mom will buy my sister and I kits to make the regular kind, or Abby and I will go to Food Lion and find what we think we'll be able to make a gingerbread house out of! So, I was very excited to find out we were making gingerbread houses and the party. Although, for my group, our gingerbread house turned into a gingerbread hotal.....til I mentioned how it was starting to look like a Nativity Scene. And this is what that comment led to......

oh I love your nativity! And I'm glad you have that group at school to have fun and learn with. I think that is just awesome.
It's seriously the best thing about college! Forget about the classes :-P
