So, as my first "official" post of the new year, I'm taking a look back on last year's New Year post!
The first point I made I will ALWAYS feel the same way about!! When the new year comes, that means Christmas seems to disappear ten times as fast as it started! It's so depressing! However, after getting my 6-foot tree down and ALL of the other decorations in my room were put away, I have SO much more space in my room now and I love it! It's like suddenly my room has grown! haha!
Secondly, I had wanted to change up my blog layout a little. And I did just that! It's funny, because I had forgotten that I had had the same blog setup for a year now, and I had recently been thinking about changing it! Maybe I should start doing that at the first of every year? Hmm.
I also wrote about how proud I was of my residents last year! They were all simply amazing in their own ways and I couldn't have asked for a better hall! I love that when I see them around campus this year, they still say hi to me :)
And here it comes, that big ol' goal I set. Ya know, my New Year's Resoluation? Ugh. My 2011 New Year's Resolution was to blog in each of my blogs at least once a week. Now, I did get better about blogging...at least on this blog!! I kind of forgot about my Inspiration blog (poor thing..), so that one only really had posts during the first month of the year! ha..that's kind of embarassing.. Then, once my Fall semester hit me, my blog kinda got pushed to the back burner of my life, which I hated. I love to blog, but by the end of the day everyday, I was flat out worn out!!
But, New Year's Resolutions are meant to be broken....right???
Starting out 2011 was also a change after the loss of good friend.
Well, here I am starting out 2012, still with the recent loss of my grandma in November. Those kinds of changes are not changes anyone can get used to, unfortunately.
At the beginning of 2011, I wanted to figure out what to do with my life. At the time I had been thinking about doing Cardiac Rehab, which is what I ended up doing for my internship, but here's 2012 and I STILL need to figure out what to do! Even if it's not something I do for the rest of my life, just after I graduate would be nice!
And finally, I started out 2011 questioning whether or not I liked the fact of growing up! haha. I don't like the fact of more responsibility you end up with as a "grown up" but I like the idea of more people my age getting married, etc. I wrote how I was excited to go to my cousin Jacquelyn's wedding and Matt's cousin Jayson's wedding in 2011. One thing is for sure, I did not expect to start planning MY wedding in 2011!! Crazy!! Guess I've almost officially entered the "grown up world!"
So, let's see. What are some of my goals/New Year's Resolutions for 2012?
-GRADUATE!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Blog more regularly!
-Plan out blogs ahead of time to avoid those times I sit and stare at a blank screen forever..
-Make Dean's List for my final college semester
-Get more wedding planning accomplished (it can be stressful, but it's fun!)
-PHOTOGRAPH MORE! I really want to get back into photography more. Anyone want their picture taken?? ;)
-Figure out a good exercise schedule I can stick with!
-And finally, FIND. A. JOB.

when I read this line in your blog... (I wanted to figure out what to dinner with my life. I figured you wrote this about dinner time and therefore you were hungry and had food on your mind...is that right?
anyway, I make small resolutions every year and try to work toward them. Some I do and some I don't. This year, my resolution is to live each day with no regrets. So far I'm 100% on track! love ya and Happy New Year
Yay for blogging Mallory! (:
I agree with the blogging more and the exercise and finding a job (because I need a part time one while I'm at school) and photographing more! I hope you reach every one of your goals! (:
