There's nothing I love more than a good 'ol DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie). Sure, they're still putting out new movies on the Disney Channel, but none are as good as the old ones. And, for whatever reason, Disney Channel only plays these good movies Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at 2:30am. Because that's a convenient time to watch them, right? Negative. (However, Saturday night, I did wake up in the middle of the night, wide awake, and got to watch 'Twas the Night!) Luckily, I've found a majority of those good 'ol movies on YouTube and enjoy watching them!
Anyway, The Ultimate Christmas Present has Forever been a favorite of mine. And, no, not just because it's Christmas. It's just a good movie.
At first, I just thought it was great that the mom from Lizzie McGuire was the mom in the movie, Spencer Breslin was the brother, and Brenda Song from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody played the best friend. And the girl who play the main character, I loved her, but didn't know her from anything previously.
Now, I'm guessing that a majority of you reading this probably haven't ever seen this movie before. It's about a girl, Allie, who comes across Santa's weather machine. She found it in the trashcan, and didn't know it was Santa's, so she thought the trash was hers. When she realized what the machine could do, she decided to give her L.A. home a White Christmas that year! However, the machine produced too much snow, and really made a dangerous snow storm that closes the roads, delays flights, and cancels parties. Then, the machine really did end up getting stolen by a weatherman who wanted to have control over the weather, and Santa and his elves showed up to try and get it back. (And I love how the movie doesn't go with the stereotypical short elves, but instead has two very tall actors play the elves!).
So, if you haven't ever seen this movie and you have an hour and seventeen minutes to spare, here ya go!
