just so perfect and good!
When I found out that we were having them at our faculty & staff holiday lunch last week, I was SO excited!! {Thanks, Jenny!!! :) }
I knew I was definitely going to include these in my countdown, pretty much because I needed a good excuse to make them! haha
Hope you'll try this and enjoy it as much as I do!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or 1/4 cup of cocoa {We already had plenty of chocolate chips, so instead of buying cocoa, I used them. I had never made them with chocolate chips before, and I couldn't taste a difference at all!}
- 2 to 3 cups of quick Quaker oats {We used the full 3 cups--thanks, Matt, for adding them in for me :) }
- 1 or 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla {We used 1 1/2 teaspoons}
- 1/2 cup of peanut butter
1. Bring milk, sugar and butter to a boil in a saucepan.
The rest of the steps happen so quickly, and I didn't want anything to get burnt, so I don't have any pictures. But, they're fairly simple steps to follow!
2. Turn heat off and immediately add the chocolate chips and peanut butter, stirring until they are melted.
3. Add the Quaker oats and vanilla.
4. Drop by teaspoonful onto waxed paper.
5. Let fudgies set until firm and store in tight container in fridge.
YUM!
