It's the perfect combination of sugar, chocolate and peanut butter, and it's so so addicting!
My sister and I love this, and when we'd both be at home for Christmas, you'd always catch us sneaking a handful of this every time we were down in the kitchen ;)
It's quick to make, so go get the ingredients now so you can make yourself some!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of peanut butter
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 1 cup of chocolate chips
- 1/2 tsp. of vanilla
- 9 cups of Chex cereal
- 3 cups of powdered sugar {This is what the recipe actually calls for, but based on last year's batch, I only used just over 2 cups.}
1. Combine peanut butter, butter and chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl.
2. Microwave for 1 minute, then stir to blend all ingredients thoroughly.
3. Add vanilla, and stir well.
4. Place the 9 cups of Chex cereal in a large bowl.
5. Pour the peanut butter-chocolate mixture over the cereal and toss evenly, making sure all cereal gets a good covering.
6. Place the powdered sugar in a ziploc bag. {I used a gallon size, and put in 2 cups.}
7. Add the cereal mixture, leaving enough room to shake. {If you wanted, you could do this in several smaller batches.}
8. Shake the bag to fully coat the cereal with powdered sugar. I shook it really well, then added just a little bit more powdered sugar into the bag.
9. Pour in a serving bowl and ENJOY!!!
